Educational sessions - Explain
There is a lot of education available online. We provide you with education based on the IFMA Core Competencies classes, but provide you with a local context. Taught by local Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) you not only get to learn about how these concepts work in theory, but how we’ve implemented them right here in Calgary.
The sessions are held once a month, online, at noon. The sessions are only available to members of the Calgary Chapter. Even if you can’t make it on the day of our presentation we make sure that edited recordings of the session, and materials discussed during the session, and any follow up contact is made available to all of the IFMA Calgary members.

It’s one thing to learn about something. It is another thing entirely to see it in action. IFMA Calgary wants to make sure that each and every one of our members can not just hear about how FM should work. But can see, hear, and learn about it in context. When we visit a facility we want to give you the context about how the core competencies are put into action.
All of that is why IFMA Calgary makes all of its site tours free for members. Not only are the tours free, but members enjoy free refreshments, networking, and chances to win prizes from our sponsors and us!
Random Coffee - Exchange
Twice a month you are invited to catch up with an old acquaintance, make a new connection, or just chat with a member of the Calgary Chapter. These are low pressure invites that go out to our members just encouraging you to reach out to the larger FM community in Calgary. Whether you meet in-person, online, or head out one of the IFMA Calgary events together is up to you. We’re just here to make sure that you are making those connection.
