What's the difference between FMP, CFM and SFP?
The FMP is a knowledge-based credential (four courses, no recertification) ideal for building core FM knowledge. The CFM (Certified Facility Manager) is IFMA's competency-based certification for experienced facility managers, earned by passing a comprehensive exam. The SFP (Sustainability Facility Professional) focuses specifically on sustainable facility management. Many Calgary FM professionals start with the FMP and pursue the CFM or SFP as their careers advance.
