Ballot information
For the election you are required to be a member of the IFMA Calgary Chapter. If you don’t know if you are an IFMA member please contact Stephen Thomas, Calgary Chapter Administrator, to check your status.
Procedure
Below are profiles of each of the candidates that will appear on our ballot for this year’s election. When filling in your ballot you may CHOOSE UP TO 14 candidates to vote for. You can cast a single ballot per member. The election will be open until 5:00 pm on June 1st. IFMA Calgary will tabulate your votes and expect to announce the winners early on June 2nd.

Why would you like to be a member of the IFMA Calgary Board of Directors?
I have wanted to get more involved within the Facility Management community outside of the workplace, and now I have the time to make this commitment along with the company support. I look forward to having the opportunity to support the IFMA Calgary Chapter.

Previously an IFMA member when working at several O&G companies over the years, and at Newalta. I have been a Facility Manager for over 25 years, mainly in the Corporate area and now in a manufacturing environment

Why would you like to be a member of the IFMA Calgary Board of Directors?
I want to contribute to the FM profession in Calgary and see what perspective I can lend given my non-profit experience. I also want to get to know other FM professionals in the city and learn more about the profession myself.
What relevant experience do you bring that will be of benefit to the IFMA Calgary Chapter Members?
I have spent a lot of time on modernizing our facilities management practices at my current agency including ground-up CMMS implementation and overhauling processes and procedures to improve communication. I've also done a lot of work with our fund development department relating to fundraising, grant applications and volunteerism so I feel I can offer insight from a non-profit lens. I have my FMP and intend to pursue my CFM once I’ve gained enough experience in my current position. My role also encompasses the management of our IT department, so I can offer perspective on the intersection between facilities management and information systems.

Looking to expand my experience, and utilize my skills that I have gained in Facility Management. I have been working in Facilities for 14 years, have completed the IFMA FMP course and am looking for a new challenge to help assist and work with likeminded individuals.

13 years in facility management, working as director of operations for a maintenance company providing Janitorial, Snow Removal, Landscape, Maintenance and Work Order management. I am trained in TapRoot incident investigations, NSCO certified, Sigma Six trained and Lead various accreditations for our organization such as CIMS to ISO. I have been focused on budgeting, green initiatives and fiscal planning for the past 2 years and believe that I have a wide set skill level along with an intuitive business mind.

IFMA is platform where we can learn global standard of facilities management. I have worked with JLL, Cushman, Hiton Hotels, etc in my past 10 years dynamic experience in facility management. This membership give me a professional help to enhance my skills in integrated facilities management.
